NOISE VIOLATION

On December 30th Corey and I were having a nice evening at our place with Jeff and Vanessa, playing cards and listening to music. Jeff was back from New Brunswick for the Christmas holiday's and Vanessa was back to stay. Around 1:30 Jeff decided that he was hungry and wanted some Wendy's. Before they could leave there was a ring at the door, we wondered who would be coming to our house that late at night? Low and behold it was a by-law officer responding to a noise violation. I told her that we were not used to being up that late and we would turn the music down. She was very apologetic saying that she couldn't even hear the music from outside. She told us that down the street there was a bunch of cars and a whole lot more noise. The officer told us that she thought that maybe they got the house number wrong. I never knew that drinking tea, listening to a bit of music and playing eucher would have got us in trouble. It's a night I will never forget.
