SKI TRIP
So on Thursday my Dad and I went skiing with the Chiropratic Association. My Dad had called me up on the Monday to see if I was interested in going. He told me that we were going to Osler Bluffs, which is a ski hill that is for members only. So I decided that I would go. My Dad asked me to get directions. So I entered it into our GPS system. The day seemed to start out well. My Dad arrived on time. As we went along we experienced some fog. Our one thought was that we didn't want to have to ski in that kind of weather. When we were about 7 minutes away and the computer was telling us that we were close we started up this on hill and when we turned a corner we couldn't go any further as the road was closed. I guess the computer doesn't know what roads are not used in the winter. I think that the computer was going to take us right to the top of the hill and we could have skiied down with out paying! So we turned aroung and took some other roads. When we finally arrived around 9:15 we took our stuff in and got dressed. Then we had to register, we couldn't find the right place so we asked someone where to go. They didn't have our names registered so they told us to register by filling out some papers. When it was time to pay and they said that it was $100.00 my Dad figured something was wrong. He asked if it was with the Chiropratic Association. They said no. My Dad asked if they could find out if it was in another area. They came back and said that it was not at that ski hill. They asked my Dad if he had the right day. He said yes. Then he started to think that he had already been at this hill and maybe he had the wrong hill. My dad then remembered that we were supposed to be at Georgian Peaks. I thought that this was going to be bad as we were going to have to drive to another place and it was going to take us an hour or so. We asked someone for directions and thankfully it was only about 15 minutes away. So when we arrived and registered it was about 10:15 and our tickets paid for food for the day. So before breakfast was done we decided to eat. The weather by then was good. The snow conditions at the beginning of the day was rough. The snow was really hard. So we decided to go in a little bit later for lunch so that we would not be hit by the rush. When we got in they had already put away all the food. They said that there was some left over behind the bar so they got us some food. After lunch we headed back out. The snow was really good and the weather was good. Then it seemed about 20 minutes later it started to snow and things just got worse. The sun went behind the clouds which made it hard to see the bumps. The the snow turned heavy and wet and really windy. About 2:30 it seemed that everyone went home. So it was nice to have the hills to ourselves. On the way home we decided to take a different route. We got to one highway and there was a sign that said the road was closed so we had to take a different turn. As we followed a Lincon car it must have hit some ice and did a 360 and hit the guard rail twice. They didn't even stop to get out of their car to see the damage. I saw some of their bumper on the side of the road and we tried to get their attention but it didn't work. So what should have been a 2 hour drive turned into a three hour drive. So, I guess the good thing was that I got to go to a ski hill that I couldn't have gone to any other day.

CRAZY WEATHER
So, last night Corey and I were sitting in our rec room and Corey sees a flash of light and asks if that was lightening. I said I don't know, I didn't see it. Then came the thunder and we knew that he had seen lightening. What kind of crazy weather is that for February. Next thing you know we will be skiing in our t-shirts in March. This just makes me wonder what kind of a summer we will have.

HOOPLA
Last night I had a get together at my house. The staff of the Waterloo Day Program. We had a potluck with lots of tasty food. Pat brought chili it tasted good but was very spicy that we could hardly eat it. After all of our indulging we had a game of Cranium Hoopla. It was fun to see all of us making fools of ourselves trying to act and draw. I hope everyone had as much fun as me.

WEEKEND EVENTS
Friday night I took my parents out for supper to celebrate my Mother's birthday. We went to Kelsey's as she said that they had never been there before. On Saturday Corey and I went skiing at Horseshoe Valley. I looked on line and decided that we should try it out. I figured that we should go while the weather is cooperating. It was nice, only a little busy but that's what you get for going on a Saturday. I also need new ski boots as mine hurt my legs. When I got home I had a large bump on my leg. I would like to go skiing with my parents at Caledon, but I will have to get new boots before that.

CHURCH SHOPPING TAKE II
This morning we tried another Church. We went to one just around the corner, Country Hills Missionary Church. When we arrived at the doors of the Church a nice man opened the door and greeted us. After we sat down and the service started they had a short time to greet one another. An older lady that was sitting infront of us asked us if this was our first time and we said yes. She said that she was glad to have us there. I believe that they have a new Pastor as he said that in a month his family was finally moving to the city. As we left the service we were greeted by the Pastor. Corey thinks that there appeared to be people close to our age. So, I guess it was an alright Church. I still seem to like Benton as I know the people there and sort of how it runs.

WEEKEND GUEST
This weekend we have had the pleasure of hosting Corey's Uncle Bob at our house. In the past when we have gone to Windsor for visits Uncle Bob and Aunt Pauline have let us crash at their house. Last night we rented American Pie Band Camp, it was pretty bad. Not the kind of movie I would want in my collection. Today, we went to Corey's Grandpa's house so that Corey could help him install a graphics card on his computer. We arrived around 12:30, the afternoon seemed to drag on as I listened to the same stories I had heard the last time I was there. I guess it is nice to spend time with him. At 1:00 the rain turned from rain to snow and it didn't stop. Around 4 o'clock when we went to the Crossroads restaurant for supper approximatly 3 inches of heavy wet snow had already fallen. I guess this is what they had been calling for. We are about to watch another movie, the Fog. I haven't even heard of it, I am guessing that it isn't going to be very good but I guess I am about to find out. Tomorrow I think Corey and I are going to be trying out Country Hills Church. Then I am meeting Heather at Costco for some shopping.
