WEEKEND AWAY

This past weekend my mother and I attended a weekend retreat put on by our Church called "The Path We Take." The guest speaker was Ruth Bauman-Wight, she used to attend our Church. She is actually planning on coming back. She has lost two husbands and since her last husband died she has been quite lonely and is coming "home." Friday night we had some games and then Ruth spoke. When it was time to go to our cabin and sleep we didn't get a real good chance at that. A couple of ladies in our room carried on late into the night. I didn't know what time it was and in the morning when they told me what time we finally got to go to sleep was around 2:30 and we had to be up for breakfast for 8:30.

PUMPKIN PIE

Yesterday on my day off I made 2 pumpkin pies. I actually made them with a pie pumpkin. I looked up on the Internet how to do it. It was really easy, it said to cook the pumpkin in the microwave which made the process quite fast. I had never made a pumpkin pie from a pumpkin so I didn't know what to expect but they turned out really well.

WORK BREAKAWAY DAY

On Thursday the staff where I work had a breakaway day. We decided that we would do some volunteer work and then go out for lunch. We went out to the Mandarin. We had lots of good food to eat. After dessert when we got the fortune cookies, my fortune was something I had never seen before. The past couple of times I have gotten cookies with two fortunes in them. This time my fortune said that "Your TV set will be trouble free for the next three years." Well, if nothing else I will know that this will or won't come true in the next 3 years. Not like, soon you will come into some money. When is soon? Dan, a guy that I work with really liked it and took the fortune.
