SWIMMING
Corey and I went to my parents for a quick swim and BBQ. The water was REALLY COLD it was only 75 degrees! Corey was much more brave than me. I only went in up to my waist.

FAMILY DAY
Today we celebrated two things. My Brother Craig's Birthday (June 16) and Father's Day. We got together at my parents place for a swim and BBQ. We also got to spend sometime with my other Brother Brad's new Black Lab, Lotus. She has way too much energy, I will have to remember this whenever I think I might want to get another dog!

AFRICAN LION SAFARI
Today I got to go to the African Lion Safari. I love going there and seeing such amazing creatures so close up. The best part was when 3 Safari staff were in their Zebra trucks chasing a cheetah to make sure it stayed in his area and didn't go off to play with the lions. I rolled my window down just a bit so that I could hear what they were yelling. They were telling it it was a "bad cheetah!" It was quite the site to see.

CLOSE CALL
This morning on my way to work I was on the Fischer-Hallman off ramp. When I looked back in my rear view mirror I saw this nice looking 2 door BMW go into a skid! The road conditions seemed to be fine but they spun out and smacked into the road guard. It was so bad I could hear from where I was the body of the car make an awful scrapping noise. I was lucky since I wasn't behind them.

THE BANDITS STRIKE AGAIN!
For the May 24 weekend Corey, Harvey and I went camping at the Pinery. Driving to the Pinery we got stopped for what we think was a ride program. The officer came up to the window and asked us if we had any alcohol in the vehicle. We told him no. He then proceeded to give us a warning about having a laptop in the front of the car. He informed us that he could give us $150 fine. We told him that we had no idea and that we were using the Microsoft Streets & Trips program as our map. When we arrived at the Pinery we then got stopped by the Park Rangers, they also wanted to search the vehicle for any alcohol. When we finally made it to the site, we fed Harvey, set up, got some water, and firewood. We had supper and then sat around the fire.
While we were sitting around the fire we heard rustling in the trees and Corey tried to use the flashlight to see what it was. He caught it in the light and it was a raccoon. The next morning Corey got up with Harvey to feed him his breakfast. Corey called to me in the tent saying that he couldn't find Harvey's food. So I got up and helped him look, we couldn't find it anywhere. After breakfast Corey went looking for the container, he couldn't find it. Then I went looking for it, I found it was back in the trees.
We saw little paw prints on our picnic table so we had a pretty good idea who was at our site. We believe that the raccoons struck our site while we were out getting water and firewood. We had no idea that they would come and search for food during the day. Saturday we went hiking on a few trails and went into town to purchase Harvey some more food. Sunday after breakfast we started to pack up. Harvey stood by the door wanting in as he was shivering. We put him in the car while we packed up.
